So my client want me to do the following :
I want to run a poll on my web site, as often as I want. I want run the poll in the sidebar of the front page only. I want to have a polls archive page where all the polls can be archived.

I was triggered by an article More People use Win98 then Vista.To find the latest stats on different trends of browsers, operating systems, screen resolution etc, I keep on visiting Browser Stats Page of W3 School. However the trends on this page are a general snap shot. It may not give me the best picture of the audience I am serving.
The w3 schools suggest that 54% of the users are using 1024×768 [till Jan 07] . The stats is too old now and more importantly it is for a general audience.

Comments are great for any blogger. Comments tell your visitor within a glance that your thought are not isolated. There are people sharing there are ideas with you. They tell you what they like. They tell you what they dislike.
If traffic is like blood to your blog, then comment are the white cells. There are definite attacks on the blogs with spam comment. For this a while back the invented ‘rel=nofollow’ attribute. Although the three major search engines Google, Yahoo, and Ask all take different meaning for ‘rel=nofollow’, it still works in discouraging spammers trying to put their links on your site. It works perfectly for forums at least.

A while back I had this problem. binary moon inspired me to solve the issue and I guess this is worth sharing amongst wordpress enthusiast. While creating any WordPress themes, designers generally hard code the main pages navigation to a few general pages like front pages or archives etc. The obvious reason for this is that you cant predict which pages are available with any WordPress blog.
